Listening To: Everybody Wants to Rule the World
Man, when the timing is right it just doesn’t get any better than a little Tears For Fears. The opening guitar riff hooks me as much as the opening to “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.” And now I’m thinking about all my favorite songs and how I must put them in order. Shoot.
In my opinion, the time is always right for Tears For Fears. I have to say, I’m enjoying their newest album much more than when it was first released. I’ve been listening to a song or two occasionally and am pretty pleased with it. I guess I was expecting too much when I first heard it last year, but a little time has given me more perspective. Maybe I’ll see if that works with Living Colour’s last album, too.
March 23rd, 2006 at 8:14 amI got rid of my Living Colour collection several years ago. I should’ve kept it. I even gave up the Living Colour VHS tape I had that talked about their history and followed them on tour.
